Undergraduate ancillary fee breakdown

All students pay ancillary fees to enable access to services at a lower cost than would be possible on an individual basis. We understand that you may not use all of the available services, and we encourage you to make use of services that you feel will enrich your student experience.

Your student account is charged by the semester, based on whether you are a full-time or part-time student. Students attending the spring/summer semester after attending both the previous fall and winter semesters have a reduction in ancillary fees, as a number of fees are only charged twice in the same academic year.

Full-time fees are based on registration in nine credit hours or more. On average, students can expect to spend about $2,500 to $3,500 for ancillary fees (this varies by program) and status (international vs domestic).

Ancillary fees you may choose to opt-out of

  • Health and Dental, Legal Program, My Virtual Doctor

These fees are charged once per academic year to full-time students only, in the semester you are starting in.

You have the ability to opt-out of a portion of the health and dental insurance fee by providing proof of preexisting coverage. Find out more about the health and dental insurance opt-out process.

You can also choose to opt out of the legal protection program if you wish. Find out more about the legal protection program opt-out process.

You have the ability to opt-out of myvirtualdoctor. Find out more about the myvirtualdoctor opt-out process.
