Ontario Tech acknowledges the lands and people of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.

We are thankful to be welcome on these lands in friendship. The lands we are situated on are covered by the Williams Treaties and are the traditional territory of the Mississaugas, a branch of the greater Anishinaabeg Nation, including Algonquin, Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi. These lands remain home to many Indigenous nations and peoples.

We acknowledge this land out of respect for the Indigenous nations who have cared for Turtle Island, also called North America, from before the arrival of settler peoples until this day. Most importantly, we acknowledge that the history of these lands has been tainted by poor treatment and a lack of friendship with the First Nations who call them home.

This history is something we are all affected by because we are all treaty people in Canada. We all have a shared history to reflect on, and each of us is affected by this history in different ways. Our past defines our present, but if we move forward as friends and allies, then it does not have to define our future.

Official transcript of academic record

Your official transcript is a complete record of all academic information completed at the university. All courses you've taken each semester at Ontario Tech University will be included on your official transcript. Note: Official transcripts for specific semesters cannot be provided.

If you are applying to another Ontario university using the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC)  service, you must order your transcript online through their website. The same process is required if you are applying to another Ontario college–you must order your transcript through the Ontario Colleges’ Application Centre (OCAS). 

All other transcript requests can be made through the transcript request form online in MyOntarioTech.

  • Mailing a transcript to your permanent address 

    To have a transcript mailed to your permanent address:

    1. Go to MyOntarioTech.
    2. Click on the Current Students or the Alumni box.
    3. In the Student Records box, click on Request official academic transcript. 
    4. Enter your login credentials, if required.
    5. Click Request printed official transcript.
    6. Select your permanent address from the drop-down options.
      1. Enter your name in the Issue to field.
      2. Click Continue.
    7. Select Official OT Web Transcript and ensure your permanent address is correct
      1. Click Continue.
    8. Enter the amount of copies you want to request and when you want it printed.
      1. Select Standard Mailing option from the drop-down menu.
      2. Click Continue.
    9. Ensure all the information is correct, then click Submit Request.
    10.  Indicate your payment method and submit.
  • Mailing or emailing a transcript to another institution or organization

    To have a transcript sent to another institution or organization:

    1. Go to MyOntarioTech.
    2. Click on the Current Students or the Alumni box.
    3. In the Student Records box, click on Request official academic transcript.
    4. Enter login credentials, if required.
    5. Click Request printed official transcript.
    6. Select None for the Personal Mailing Address option.
      1. Enter the institution/organization in the Issue to field.
      2. Click Continue.
    7. If sending a physical transcript, select Official OT Web Transcript and ensure the institution/organization you are sending the transcript to is correct.
      1. Fill in the complete mailing address beginning with the Street Line field.
      2. Click Continue.
    8. If sending an electronic transcript, select Official OT Web Transcript and ensure the institution/organization you are sending the transcript to is correct.
      1. In the Street Line 1 field, enter the general email address that you want the transcript to be sent to. (Note: Transcripts will not be emailed to students or personal email addresses; email addresses are verified before sending.)
    9. Enter the amount of copies you want to request and when you want it/them printed.
      1. Select Standard Mailing option from the drop-down menu.
      2. Click Continue.
    10. Ensure all the information is correct, then click Submit Request.
    11.  Indicate your payment method and submit.
  • Fee

    Refer to the Miscellaneous and Administrative fees section to view the cost per transcript. Official transcripts must be paid at the time of order. Transcripts will not be printed if you have holds on your account (e.g. outstanding university fees).

  • Processing time

    Transcript requests typically take five business days to process. Peak times may result in longer processing times.
