Common registration hold errors

Are you encountering a hold error message when registering? Here are some tips to help you resolve them:


  • If you have a hold on your account due to an outstanding balance, the hold will prevent you from registering for your course(s).

Admissions Hold

You are required to submit documentation for your application.

You have an advising hold on your account.

Please see  and book an appointment with your academic advisor.


Sent to Collections (U)

Your account has been sent to an external collection agency.

Financial Hold O/S Tuition

You have an outstanding tuition fee balance.

Please check your account balance and make a payment. For further inquiries, contact


Financial Hold (University fees)

You have an outstanding balance. The balance is either related to residency fees or an unpaid sponsorship invoice.
