Common registration hold errors

Are you encountering a hold error message when registering? Here are some tips to help you resolve them:

Note:

If you have a hold on your account due to an outstanding balance, the hold will prevent you from registering for your course(s).
If you encounter a non-hold error when registering, please visit our Common registration error messages web page.

Hold Type	Hold Type Description	Description	Action
AD	Admissions Hold	You are required to submit documentation for your application.	Please contact admissions@ontariotechu.ca.
AV	Academic Advisor Hold	You have an advising hold on your account.	Please see academicadvising.ontariotechu.ca and book an appointment with your academic advisor.
CL	Sent to Collections (U)	Your account has been sent to an external collection agency.	Please contact studentar@ontariotechu.ca.
FH	Financial Hold O/S Tuition	You have an outstanding tuition fee balance.	Please check your account balance and make a payment. For further inquiries, contact studentar@ontariotechu.ca.
FI	Financial Hold (University fees)	You have an outstanding balance. The balance is either related to residency fees or an unpaid sponsorship invoice.	For residence fees inquiries, contact info@dc-otresidence.ca. For unpaid sponsorship invoices, contact tradear@ontariotechu.ca.
