Dates and deadlines

Admissions decisions for fall 2024 will be released on a regular basis beginning in January 2024. The deadline to accept an offer of admission will be listed in your offer letter.

Wednesday, January 31
Deadline for competitive program applications. Competitive programs include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Honours) - Collaborative
  • Nursing (Post-RPN) (Oshawa)
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Computer Science (with Co-op and without Co-op)
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Computer Science - Data Science (with Co-op and without Co-op)
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Computer Science - Digital Media (with Co-op and without Co-op)

Friday, February 9
Deadline for document submission for the competitive programs. A midterm or final mark must be submitted for each prerequisite course in order to be considered for admission. For the Nursing (Post-RPN) programs interim or final transcripts are required by this date. Competitive programs include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Honours) - Collaborative
  • Nursing (Post-RPN) (Oshawa)
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Computer Science (with Co-op and without Co-op)
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Computer Science - Data Science (with Co-op and without Co-op)
  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Computer Science - Digital Media (with Co-op and without Co-op)

Thursday, February 15
Deadline to apply for the university's prestigious Global Leadership Award. Valued at more than C$120,000 ($30,000 per year for four years), this award recognizes international secondary school applicants (studying full-time at a secondary school outside of Canada) who possess strong academic and leadership abilities.

Friday, March 29
Deadline for international applicants (students not currently registered as a full-time student in a Canadian secondary or post-secondary institution) to submit completed applications for equal consideration for non-competitive programs.

Note: We will still process applications received after this date, however, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Friday, March 31
Deadline to receive interim or midterm academic documents and other admission-related documents for non-competitive programs. This includes passports, Grade 11 final transcripts, Grade 12 midterm, term 1 or in-progress results.

Wednesday, May 1
Common deadline to accept offer of admission. Offers of admission can be accepted internally or on the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC). 

Monday, June 3
Residence applications must be received by this date to guarantee a spot in residence.

Friday, June 7
Deadline to submit non-refundable $500 tuition deposit. Applicants must first accept their offer in order to pay their deposit.

Friday, July 12
Document deadline for applicants with conditional offers of admission to competitive programs. Applicants are not able to upgrade in summer for admission consideration to fall 2024 competitive programs. Courses must be completed by June 30, 2024.

Friday, August 9
Deadline for submission of any outstanding documentation and upgrading marks in support of an application, and for meeting all remaining conditions on offers extended. Applicants are not able to upgrade during the summer for consideration to competitive programs.
