Ontario Tech acknowledges the lands and people of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.

We are thankful to be welcome on these lands in friendship. The lands we are situated on are covered by the Williams Treaties and are the traditional territory of the Mississaugas, a branch of the greater Anishinaabeg Nation, including Algonquin, Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi. These lands remain home to many Indigenous nations and peoples.

We acknowledge this land out of respect for the Indigenous nations who have cared for Turtle Island, also called North America, from before the arrival of settler peoples until this day. Most importantly, we acknowledge that the history of these lands has been tainted by poor treatment and a lack of friendship with the First Nations who call them home.

This history is something we are all affected by because we are all treaty people in Canada. We all have a shared history to reflect on, and each of us is affected by this history in different ways. Our past defines our present, but if we move forward as friends and allies, then it does not have to define our future.

Campus Card

The Campus Card is one of the most important pieces of identification (ID) that students, faculty and staff carry. It gives you access to various facilities, resources and services, both on and off-campus.

Your Campus Card is also used as identification for mid-terms, exams, etc. However, if you do not have your Campus Card, your valid government-issued ID will be accepted.. For more information on our examination policy in relation to your student ID, visit our Procedures for Final Examination Administration web page.

If you are new to our campus community, picture yourself on our Campus Card and remember to visit our New Students page for more information.

Important changes for the 2020/2021 academic year!

  • Due to the ongoing closure of on-campus services, in-person Campus Card services are unavailable at this time, however you can still contact us at connect@ontariotechu.ca.
  • Campus Cards will now be issued to students on a one-time basis for new students. The card will be valid for the duration of a student's program at Ontario Tech.
  • Returning students are no longer required to update their card annually. Instead, you must retain your existing card for future use on-campus.
  • The U-Pass fee is not being charged for the fall semester. Once it is determined when the fee will resume, more information will be made available. Please note: In the meantime, you are responsible for paying your own fare when taking public transit.
