What is a T2202A?

The T2202A (Tuition and Enrolment Certificate) tax form is an official statement for income tax purposes. It is issued to all students who paid tuition and fees for qualifying courses that are eligible for a claim on the income tax return. The form shows the amount of tuition that can be deducted for income tax purposes as well as the number of months eligible for the education and textbook deduction.

In accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations, T2202A forms are only issued for tuition fees totalling $100 or more. Materials and administrative fees are not eligible for tax deduction.

When will I receive it?

The T2202A tax form for the previous calendar year is available as of the last working day of February at 4 p.m. on MyCampus, on the Undergraduate tab under Canadian Tax Forms. We do not mail them to you.
